How thoughtless of them! I know a comic strip they could read to learn better manners.

4·2 months agoThere’s occasional goofy humor, but the “dad jokes” like this are just made up for the meme template.
(also for what it’s worth, I always recommend starting where it all began: with the original!)

2·2 months agoI truly think most people would be receptive to the idea if they could just hear about it. The big corporate sites have so many problems.
Our two biggest obstacles in my opinion: a) the “instances” setup is mildly confusing for new users. b) Once you get here, the predominant culture is pretty homogenous and, to put it politely, politically intense.

4·5 months agoI think it does a good job of showing the reality of how clunky integration of different groups can be, and how even in a future where humans have “solved” racism amongst themselves, it’s not a lesson that can be buried with the past yet.
The frustrations that the crew has with Spock’s behaviors that are baffling to them, and vis versa, how Spock feels (and frequently verbalizes) about what he thinks are human failings, are very real reflections of how different groups learn to understand each other better. The friction of their interactions is the point, as well as showing that they are incredibly loyal to each other and care about each other’s wellbeing at the end of the day.
This is the heart of Star Trek, in my opinion - seeing them actively grow together despite their occasional rude outbursts and misunderstandings.

Although it would be so old to them that it would be like us making a swordfighting game about Macbeth or something.
