It’s complicated. The old bus punk was from a 2024 where the timeline was going to be changed so there would be an extremely evil (like, more evil than the Mirror Universe) Confederation of Planets rather than the Federation in the future. It’s POSSIBLE that an evil Kirk and Co. went back to 1986 San Francisco in that timeline and Spock nerve pinched bus punk, but extremely unlikely given all the massive changes. Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey.
The Star Trek IV punk is one of those jokes that’s so unfunny it causes an integer overflow and loops back around to absolutely hilarious.
