Wouldn’t a Jupiter-mass black hole have the same gravitational effects as Jupiter and absolutely nothing would be affected?

Linux@lemmy.ml•People doing the 30 days linux Challenge are having several problems because of Mint's old packages and technology. Why people still recommend it when there is Fedora and Opensuse with KDE and Gnome?
2·2 years agoI don’t know the difference between Wayland and X11, all I know is that they’re options, and I’m 30 days into the Arch-derived(is that the right term?) Garuda Linux that defaults Wayland with a 3080 and I haven’t had any problems? Aren’t the Mint problems that it’s a stable distro with outdated stuff?

This is a pretty maintained list, and even if I disagree with the inclusion of some things because all you’re missing is cosmetics, it is pretty easy to argue that “complete game offline” should include all content of that game, so I’m not gonna start a fight about it

19·2 years agoBut if you buy from GOG, make sure it doesn’t have DRM, because GOG has been selling a few games that have DRM for a few years now

7·2 years agoWhat does this post have to do with anything when it launched on PC the same day as PS5 and XSX? As well, a 10 year old pc would likely have a GTX 1070 or better and that’s enough to run the game just fine?

The thing I’ve seen is that when they show dogs an image of their owner while the dog is in a PET scan, and show the dog pictures of other animals, the same part of the brain lights up, while showing the dog pictures of other dogs lights up a different but close area of the brain. Doing the same test on cats had one area lighting up for other animals, but the same part lighting up when shown their owner and when shown other cats
