- Q refreshes his uniform while also goading him on, such that Picard rejects Q’s assistance

- Picard relents and Q gives a rather smug “I told you so” and warns him to prepare
- Borg work their way to the Alpha Quadrant, resulting in the abduction of Picard and the Battle of Wolf 359

- Janeway destroys transwarp network and poisons the Collective
- Remaining Borg ally with rogue Changelings to infiltrate Starfleet
We’re talking s2 of TNG through s3 of Picard. 30+ years of commitment.
The really scary part is that it’s heavily implied that the cube that shows up in the alpha quadrant is the same cube that encountered the enterprise in the delta quadrant. The borg cube never stopped chasing them.
They had the most immediate emperical data available. Only stands to reason they should be the ones to continue the investigation.
