My main iron and stone deposits were too far from each other to be practical so I had to set up a whole new concrete plant a ways away. Then a train line to bring the concrete in. Then I had to take care of some biters in the vicinity to make room for the concrete plant. And there went my evening.

    Corn Kidz 64.

Lemmy recommended it to me a few times. So far so good!

A few parts have been quite a bit more difficult than I was expecting, and I’m currently stuck again so will have to look up a guide for the next step. Besides a few instances of not knowing the intended path it’s been great so far.

I’ve decided to try and play the all mainline Resident Evil games, to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Currently on RE 0, and I’ve previously beaten 2 remake, 3 remake, 4 remake, 7, 8, and 9. I’m pretty excited for 5 and 6, just to see if they’re as bad as everyone says

RE6 isn’t really that bad honestly. Sure, it’s not the greatest game in the series but as long as you keep in mind it’s an action game and learn how to play (it has a surprisingly deep combat system which isn’t explained in the game itself) there’s plenty to enjoy. This guide shows a good amount of what’s possible, if you’re curious.

Been going hard on Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

Besides that, I’m 10-11 hours into Stella Glow on my 2DS XL, and have been playing Grim Dawn and Slay the Spire 2 co-op with my wife.

My brother and I have been trying to get every achievement in Ark Survival Evolved. This week we’re trying to defeat the gardians of the center.

I’m playing the last of us part 2. Finished part 1 last week and enjoyed it so much i jumped straight into part 2. I think I’m about half way into it. I’ve somehow managed to mostly avoid spoilers - I have a vague idea what happens but I still don’t really know how it’s going to end. Damn, what a story.

I loved TLOU1, truly a fantastic game. The sequel, I never finished. Got a little over halfway through. I hope you beat it though.

I’m almost done with Race Driver: GRID. I got all the cars, won all but the final 6 races and pretty much got my fill of the game. I soured on it a bit (mostly due to the amount of events I’m not a huge fan of) but I still like it overall. Not enough to grind for the first place on the career leaderboard though.

I won’t be writing a big summary of the experience as I already mentioned everything before (limited number of tracks, aggressive opponents, mostly fun driving model etc). What I can write however is: playing this title gave me a bit of insight into what I’m interested in in a racing game (in term of events). For GRID the end result looks like this:

    Favourite events Least favourite events
Touge (not even close) Destruction Derby (I’m so glad it barely exists)
    Touring Cars Club GT
Open Wheel 24 Hours Le Mans

Everything else is pretty much a toss-up depending on the event or track, varying between “this is great” and “please kill me”. It was fun but I’m kinda glad I’ll be moving to something else soon.

Are there a lot of cinematics and cutscenes? I tried forza horizon as i think ot was the most popular game at the time and i just wanted to get up and walk away from the computer every time theres like a 30 second cutscene explaining the story and i just wanna drive the damn car in a race!

There isn’t any real story beyond “you’re starting a race team, good luck” - it’s completely focused on gameplay. The only “cutscenes” in the game are short videos explaining certain event types but they only show up once or can be skipped (24H Le Mans).
