Gamebillet has been killing it lately

Did a bunch of computers over the last year. Kids computers, personal, mini PCs, 2 HTPCs. Only real issue I’ve had was I had to switch to a DP to HDMI from a HDMI cable because one of the HTPCs wouldn’t do resolution or refresh rate higher than a 3rd grader’s chromebook. Once I swapped the cable it was fine. Most are Mint, 1 CachyOS, one Bazzite.
We play a ton of games and watch a ton of media and we’ve had no trouble at all with anything. None of us play games that want anti-cheat so that’s a big plus.

Broke out the GameCube. SSX3 and Double Dash.

When POE2 came out, I played it for a couple hours, hated it, and went back to Diablo 4. I saw it at PAX a week ago and thought I’d give it a try again since I quit D4 and was jonesing for that fix. It’s doing pretty well so far. I’m in Act 3.

Thank you for posting this. I had no idea and it’s one of my most used apps.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses. My kid and I assigned video games to each other for the summer and that’s what I got assigned. They’re playing Persona 5 Golden.
Not a patient game anytime soon, but they loved the original Fantasy Life and we’ve been playing and loving the new one too.

Nice call on Jade Empire.

Exactly the same here. Loved one. Two was not great.

Proxmox
Unraid
UniFi
Raspberry Pi
Docker
I don’t have time to respond, but exploring the capabilities of any of those things would be a great place to start.

Nextcloud borked my Unraid server. Took me forever to find the source of constant lockups. Apart from that, the Nextcloud container took up more of my time than any other part of my server, including the OS.
This was a couple years ago. Maybe things have changed.
My Unraid server is a dream otherwise. Rock solid and 30 containers running smoothly for years and years.
Just another data point.
I used Proxmox for a long time before Unraid, but that’s when getting deep into it was a hobby. Now I just want it to work.
I’ve got tix to see them in Seattle on Sept 30!
I’ve got tix at the end of the month!
Decades ago I bought a sealed copy of Dragon Warrior off a guy for $30. While exchanging info he said he’d throw in a sealed copy of Dragon Warrior 2 for $20 more. I wasn’t really a collector (I wanted to play them) so I said sure what the hell, nice boxes and inserts are always cool. I never got around to playing them so they sat in a plastic shell.
They’re perfect, they’re unopened, and I still got em.
We played Rock Band (yarc) for hours at our Xmas Eve party last night. 20 or so people and just about everyone cycled thru to play. That game will never die.
