Thank you. I’ve not tried EndeavorOS, so I’ll check it out! Most of what I’ve been running have been flavors of Ubuntu with a brief Gentoo and OpenSUSE period.

I heard the theme start to play on that last frame.

My MacBook is getting very long in the tooth and the updates via OCLP are working in creating a system that is painfully slow to use. I’ve been tinkering with various Linux distros for 20 years and the thought of having one as my only daily driver does not sound appealing. I really don’t want to drop the money on a new laptop but I need something to work without constantly troubleshooting.

Fairly certain that a battery will immediately get hotter than its surroundings with any kind of sustained use or charging.
Scrolled until I saw an Apollo post. I miss the old days on Reddit. As much as I want it to be the same here, it simply isn’t.
There is a slight possibility of overload.

You’re holding it wrong.
This is the year of the Linux desktop!
I’m also running an Ifixit battery and have had zero problems save for the original battery being DOA out of the box. 3 in a row is really bad luck.
Looks like that website got the ol’ “hug of death”. :)
The trackpad experience on MacOS is one of the things that keeps me on MacOS. That and Preview.
