That was kind of the point here - more than the machine controlling aliens could ever eat. They circled around a truck stop for crying out loud. The idea behind my tiny brain gag is that they push the ship beyond what it is capable of to fend off the alien virus that might have taken hold.

I was bummed when Flash died, just because the site would never be the same again. I believe they have archived most of it in the form of YouTube videos, but it just isn’t the same. The small interactive jokes were great!

Yeah, including that was an odd choice. That made it clear that the author doesn’t know the target audience for this project. I would wager that the vast majority of modern gamers would give up on it in minutes.

After testing - it is your app. The image host (catbox.moe) works on desktop web, Voyager, and Jerboa in the US. It could be the webp format since this as a gif would be over 200mb.
