Well the Xbox app that suspends Windows processes is a reaction to this threat. The threat not being Linux in general but SteamOS and Proton specifically. I don’t think anyone imagined it would be gaming that would usher in the era of Linux but it does seem that that will be the case.
This is 100% not the advice you are looking for, but if you don’t need the service to have a domain I would consider just using Tailscale. It’s pretty damn good.

Why not use the tailnet address? There’s an option that gives you random words instead of an iP address and it works very well, at least for me. i I mean you still need to know the port but it’s less to remember. As for dashboard I use Homarr.
I recently moved away from Gmail and when I was researching what my new email client would be I considered Proton seriously for a while. But what I realized is that the privacy aspect of it is pretty much useless unless everyone you are communicating with is also using Proton. I went with iCloud, it’s free and it’s good enough for my use case.

You could probably use Notion as a backend and use Potion.so to make the website. Another route is Webstudio + a CMS like Hygraph or Strapi if you want to self host it.
I think this might even be doable on Ycode or Webflow.
At the end of the day what you want is a database with all the products and a relations between each other based on their features.

Holy misinformation Batman! You don’t have to use the App store for anything on MacOS. Matter of fact many popular apps are not found in the AppStore at all.
iPhone and iPad may be walled gardens but I’ll go out on a limb here and say that MacOS is actually more open than Windows or at the very least it’s as open.
