17·9 months agoDidn’t know they were using servers thought it was p2p. Good to see they’re still ok with mods though. For the most part anyways.

2·1 year agoThis is my first time playing poe/poe2 and I’m only in act 1 still (I think just made it to the manor base area). So far I’m having a great time with the game and can see how it’s addictive for so many people.
One suggestion I saw a while ago was to use more general communities for things you’re interested in and as it grows then the more niche communities can be made. Ex: post about a specific game you like in gaming up until enough people like it to make a sub for that game. Or post about a song you don’t know in asklemmy until enough people do that to make whatsthissong
I totally get wanting the niche communities and, personally, I just lurk reddit completely not voting, posting, or commenting unless as a last resort if I really need to find info that Lemmy isn’t able to provide.
It’s a slow process and I don’t think there’ll be another boost of users in Lemmy until reddit does another thing that enshittifies it to annoy people to leave.

I wouldn’t say anything specifically better or worse compared to sync but it’s close enough, feature wise, that I found myself using it more and there’s no ads.
I used to only use Sync coming from reddit. No other app was able to replace it until I started using Summit. Now Summit is pretty much all I use for Lemmy.

9·2 years agoAt first I thought this was old news due to the PS3 LBP security issues but now I’m seeing it’s affecting the PS4 as well. This sucks so much and it’s even more a shame that Sony will use sackboy as a mascot and you can’t even play the games sackboy came from to their fullest anymore.
Just got flashbacks to the Loki death torture cube.
You could more than likely remove apps through adb and then replace the launcher with one of the 3rd party launchers on android TV like lean back on fire or projectivity.

3·2 years agoThat’s kinda why I figured if the people hosting could choose what instances/subs to host then thats the control they’d have but they wouldn’t be able to remove or edit specific posts since that would be the job of the users/mods.

Those shitposts would go crazy
