One of the first toys I remember having was a small model of the Enterprise D with little shuttles that you could land in the shuttle bay. One of my earliest memories is cuddling with my dad and watching TNG. While I’m not proud of it, I once threw a fit at the planetarium because we were going to miss TNG if we stayed. I saw every TNG movie in theaters with my dad.

This feels like a loss of a family member.

It’s the same for me. Star Trek has always been a family experience with my dad and my uncle. I watched Encounter at Farpoint with my dad in 1987. I was 5 years old.

I watched the whole series with him. We saw UDC and all the TNG movies together. The crew of the Enterprise D were in my house pretty often as I was growing up.

I definitely understand what you mean when you say it feels like losing a family member. I feel the same way.

Live long and prosper, friend. 🖖
