Oh I’m sure they leech microplastics… But so do megagulps. The only difference is that camelbacks are almost entirely used for water (and probably some college kids alcoholic beverages) the difference is that these massive jugs usually contain soda, which covers up the plastic taste, and most are acidic, so they also contribute to the deterioration of the plastics in the container on top of that.
A camelback is cheaper, less pathetic, and much more likely to have water in it than coke. This isn’t normal or ok for humanity.

Camelbacks taste funny, and I suspect they leech into the water. (Thus why they taste funny)

They are also insulated, and keep cold for far longer than the camelbak.
