Local police have little or no insight into where the federal enforcement actions are taking place. In some cases, local cops have been mistaken for federal agents, eroding years of work to have immigrant communities trust the police.

    I’m surprised that there hasn’t been any violent response to those individuals. I’m not advocating for violence, but if I were to encounter unidentified vehicles with unknown people attempting to abduct others in broad daylight, which clearly resembles kidnapping, I could foresee a potential escalation in the situation. Did that happen anywhere?

    I heard of a group of ICE agents kidnapping another group of ICE agents and the onlookers didn’t know which was real. Spiderman meme immediately came to mind

    LAPd has been corrupt for decades, what do they have to fear. And also a lot of them are gang members too
