I guess the Netflix MSTK was an atari situation : just rehypothecate an old brand we happen to own. I’m not sure exactly what happened there but the result is I rarely see praise for it.
That being said, I really liked it. Barbershop quartet in season 2 is a particularly great highpoint of the series.
Unpopular opinion: Maybe the narrative metaphor of the space station is the dash od salt that enhances the flavor of the voiceovers and that’s why I didn’t get into rifftrax 🤷♀️

I figure between the loss of his wife and raising his daughter, he probably hasn’t had as much time for more personally rewarding projects. His stand-up is still solid, at least from when I got to see him a couple years ago.
