Doh, I completely overlooked that, thanks for pointing it out.

Doesn’t matter what the DM rolls, beholders eye petrification is a DC only ability, it always hits, its up to the player’s DEX Save to resist the effect.
- Petrification Ray. The targeted creature must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature begins to turn to stone and is restrained. It must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn. On a success, the effect ends. On a failure, the creature is petrified until freed by the greater restoration spell or other magic.

8·11 months agoMake enough C macro definitions and you can certainly do that, I did my final project in my high school programming class in the 90’s like that, made macros to simulate QBasic syntax and then just wrote it in basic, the end result is the macros converted everything into valid C++ and it compiled fine. Fortunately my teacher for that class was cool, and he was amused by it and since it compiled with no warnings and did what it was supposed to do, I got full marks for it.
I assume you installed Kubuntu to the external drive on your laptop, in which case it likely installed the boot record into the laptop’s main drive

4·2 years agoI’ve had some experience with Mint Mobile, but couldn’t get it to activate where I live. The sim worked fine visiting Vegas, but back in my home state, even though it runs on T-Mobile’s network and T-Mobile was fine, the same sim with a phone number with an area code in my home state didn’t work in my home state. So, maybe it works, but the one time I tried it wouldn’t work and Mint couldn’t get it working just kept saying everything is fine and it should be working.
Tried StraightTalk Wireless after that, 2 different sims so far, no issues, other than I had to get a new sim when the account was inactive for 6 to 8 months. But at least now their sim packs come with both Verizon and notVerizon compatible sims in the same pack now.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Best front and rear view dashcam without built-in WiFi?English
3·2 years agoI use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09TB83NR2?ref=emc_s_m_5_i_atc and I just don’t use the wifi, everything can be done on device or from a PC you plug the SD card into. I know you said you want it without wifi, but without more details I don’t know if “without wifi” is a necessity or if it just is fully functional without using “wifi” is sufficient for your needs. By default wifi is disabled while the camera has power to it and is recording, and its wifi enabled/disabled state can be changed in the menu to keep it off.

I have blink outdoor cameras, not the best out there, but very usable video, indoor work the same, you can put a USB flash drive in the sync module and use it on the local network, i use my 2.4 band for that and my home automation. Recorded clips stay on my flash drive locally, and I just say no to the subscription if it asks. All cameras connect to the same sync module. Have no complaints.
