I use posteo.de/en for email and we use the calender as a shared family calender with my wife.

Works fine for me, but we don’t really use the calender to share events with others, so I am not sure how well that works.

Just supported the project with a few €. He apparently collected 133.019 CA$. So the immediate future is looking good for that project (he aimed for 50.000).

Many things are possible with both products. But Kritas focus is on drawing/paiting and animation, meanwhile GIMPs focus is photo edititing.

Just try them out. I really love both.

But if they were doing Asahi Linux for fun as a hobby, and if it isn’t fun anymore for a variety of reasons, then you really can’t blame them.

I have 0 knowledge about this project, so my statement here is just a general statement.

But if a developer collects donations for promising something, then this is not just “for fun”, but they do have a moral obligation to try doing a good job.

It seems they overfullfilled their obligations (but all I know about it, are the words of the developer). So, as said above, this is a general statement.

edit: lol you guys are funny, but maybe read my comment. I talked about “doing his best” and about “things they promised”. You really think it is okay to say “I will try project A, I need donations” and then go on a holiday with the donated money and do nothing else? Do you thing this attitude will get people to donate anything?

My whole comment was about the use of the word islamist and you act like I defended him. I call this “ill faith”.

Maybe it have to spell it out: My point was that western media use the word “islamist” utterly arbitrary to attack brown people of any ideology, thus rendering the term useless. And that is discustingly racist. This is especially true for far right media like the NZZ that you cited.

Your point was that you apparently presume that I defend him, which I didn’t. He blocked me ten years ago in Twitter after a heated discussion. I don’t like him.

You’ve just involuntarily proven my point that the word “islamist” is just utterly arbitrary and mostly just used to hide racism at this point.

The words “islamist” or “islamism” are so utterly meaningless nowadays. Basically means “brown person whose opinion we don’t like”.

I mean, there are things to critizise about him. But anyone who calls him an islamist juts shows his bigotry or utter stupidity.

(US citizens also don’t need a visa to enter Switzerland, but that is a technicality.)

Ah. Xinjiang and Tibet should defintely be painted in red. Also Vietnam without a doubt. Korea is a matter of definition.

I am sure they were fine machines. I don’t think they were profitable for Valve (that is what I meant with “not worked out well”). On the other hand, the Steamdeck might not exist without the Steam Machines, so maybe I am wrong and it did work out well.

When I last entered the US in 2009 they took my fingerprints and a photo. I assumed it to be mandatory.

I also had to “please follow me” to a backroom, but I kinda expected this as a muslim. Met some friendly mexican and pakistani people there, so it wasn’t that bad. I still decided to refuse all business trips to the US from that day on (and avoided tourist travel there as well), as I just didn’t feel safe.

Didn’t work out that well last time. But Valve got a lot better with Hardware since then.

When we had the problem, I talked to him and we ended up on very friendly terms. He gave his best to be quite. Wasn’t perfect, but acceptable.

If it doesn’t provide a benefit for them, why should they bother? I understand why a teenager would, I would have as a teenager. But as an adult? Who got time for this?

Alternative medicine is afaik medicine that is not part of traditional academic medical education. This is at least who it would be defined in German. Not sure if it is the same in English. We actually have specific words for that: “Schulmedizin” means academicly accepted medicine.

So yes, it would also be medicine. But different than e.g. ibuprofen or radiotherapy.

But tbh, I cannot think of an example. So maybe there is none? Don’t know, I am personally not that interested in alternative medicine.

I mean isn’t it obviously homoeopathy and a significant part of the rest of alternative medicine (not all of it I guess). It is a billion euro business in Germany alone.
