Alternatively, the US is a shithole country with an oppressive health care system. The current life expectancy is propped up by a few super rich states where people can actually afford to see a doctor.

Smoking and drinking is an almost exclusively male pastime.

Civilization couldn’t exist as it does today, but humans are a resilient species. We will find a way to continue living, pretty much as long as life remains on this planet. Be that underground, at the poles, in bunkers, in a dystopian desert wasteland, humanity will persist.

There’s no way the climate crisis entirely wipes out humanity. However, we could be looking at a Mad Max style future.

But good for the corporations who lobbied the government into the action in the first place.

The final straw was nationalising oil production so that its profits went to the citizens of Iran.

This led corporations to lobby the American government to get involved.

I limit it to things the character would have realistically encountered before.

It could be fun to create/search for a d100 roll table for what they get, where there’s a small chance to get something “broken”.

As a DM, I personally completely ignore this and ask for Athletics checks if the jump distance isn’t a gimme or impossible.
