Well they do but the problem is they see that and voting as the highest and most effective forms of resistance. Its not. Voting away their representatives and debunking their rationalizations won’t make them go away. There’s only one way to do that
Its always been this way. Conservatives have always been a societal problem and no one ever deals with them. Its always brushed under the rug with a phony “arc of history” narrative which allows society to ignore the problem. Modern ideas like brainwashing further compound the problem as it thrusts upon the left an impossible task: the ability to turn fundamentally bad people good.
This is why i got out of politics fwiw. Stay armed, protect yourself from the right by any means necessary and keep on.

I just want a semi decent sports community. I’ve posted loads of posts from sbnation and other great websites and got extremely diminishing returns so i just gave up. I absolutely agree with that post though. I hate news discussions and i double extra hate political discussions. I don’t need to know everything’s fucked, I’ve known that for nearly a decade at this point.
Our BMV is pretty ok so long as you dont go at like 5pm on a Friday. But pretty much everywhere is terrible if you go at peak hours

Yeah I’ve said it again and again but lemmynsfw ruins its UX by keeping around thousands of worthless celebrity groups all with single digit levels of subscribers and some without any fucking posts on em, but my rant always seems to fall on deaf ears for whatever reason.
Anyway check out lemmy411, there are a couple groups in lemmynsfw that arent just lame as shit cheesecake shots. Gonewild, boobs, and ass are all fairly active thinking off the top of my head

The source is me. I’ve been following through somethingawful’s buttcoin thread since 2011 and then on and off through political subreddits. One of the biggest things is that they HATED government-backed “fiat” currency and saw bitcoin as a replacement for the dollar (Even though bitcoin is also fiat and had notorious stealing issues and was just as unstable then as it is now)
Nah man, crypto was built in the circles of libertarian goldbugs in an attempt to privatize the dollar. Ultimately the aim of crypto is the opposite of the fediverse: to take away (theoretically) popular control of the dollar and throw it into corporate hands.
