29·3 years agoI liked the “He looks like Tom Paris” back and forth, I’m glad they didn’t do something hokey like he’s Tom Paris’ cousin or something. I liked the flashback showing Mariner as the tag along first year, worked better than just telling us in the previous episode, that flashback probably should have been attached to episode 9.
I kept expecting William Boimler to show up before the end of the season, guess they’re holding onto that thread for next year

81·3 years agokeep in mind Prodigy was produced by nickelodeon and only distributed on Paramount+ - for accounting purposes they are all separate entities - Paramount, CBS, Paramount+, Nickelodeon etc even if they are all owned by ViacomCBS

8·3 years agoThe video is from Paramount Plus, who don’t currently have the rights to Prodigy, even though the parent company does. If they included it in their promotional material it would effect their ability to either sell those rights to someone else or write the show off for tax purposes.
It’s convoluted and stupid, but running your streaming service as a separate entity is how all the studios have it rigged up. Accounting ftw
The Klingon merchant on Tulgana IV definitely has the Lursa and B’ETor sound going on, I’d be surprised if the voice actress wasn’t wearing Klingon teeth
