We’re living with fascinating, alien lifeforms, and we’re just watching them all go extinct while we furiously masturbate the dick of late-stage capitalism.

For all we know these creatures are the only companions we will ever know in the universe, and we’re just crossing species off the list by the thousands each year (and rapidly accelerating).

I feel like I’m drowning in despair—it’s enough to sometimes wish I was one of the fucking countless people who are just too small-minded/ignorant/selfish to care. Just blissfully reciting talking points created by rich old men, bumping and bumbling my way through life completely oblivious to the hell we’re collectively approaching.

I’d say 20% odds the babies never even existed—and, if they did, 70% odds there were fewer than 40 of them and 80% odds they weren’t beheaded.

“Violating international law” is pretty sterile/soft verbiage for fucking war crimes.

Everywhere I look everything is getting fucked to death. Insects, fish, entire ecosystems, entire climates, entire regions near the equator, all FUCKED.

I worry about the fucked up right wing legislation that may come from this in 5 years. Maybe republicans will just hike up our taxes and cut corporate taxes again to compensate (mind you they’ll also increase prices of everything too because greed.) All that matters is immediate profits and instant gratification for shareholders—broader long-term economic environment be damned!

But in the meantime I hope this wave of unionizing and striking serves to cull a bunch of shitty businesses/business models out there that can’t survive under the pressure of paying a living wage.

If your business can’t survive paying enough for your employees to survive, YOUR BUSINESS SHOULDN’T SURVIVE
