I don’t want to come off as preachy, and I love the waves of new users. I’m just concerned about the stability of the Lemmy userbase if the highest commented posts stay “I’m leaving reddit” and “things reddit did” type threads.

This is something I also need to work on aha, but it’s really important to be active in topics and activities you’re interested in outside being a (potentially former) redditor.

    the admins should put a link at the top to a search or version of the feed or something that filters out all posts with “reddit” in the title or body or linked article to show what the site is like when it isn’t consumed with gossip and drama.

    Everyone is grieving together and trauma bonding over the loss of a loved one lol 😞

    Time heals all wounds. I think after this Reddit blackout and the 3rd party apps turn off we will get a massive influx of users. After a month or so of the big spike we might see other topics and communitys take off.

    I’m still learning how to do things right now. I’m trying to find a news feed (?) thread (?) community (?) and learning how to post. But I’m looking forward to contributing as soon as I can get my bearings. I totally agree with you though, good to see posts from other refugees but craving the content
