I know you think there is one day left (as in, the rest of the calendar day you are on), but mathematically, in one day from the 31st, it will be the 1st.
This is also heavily dependent on time zones, like the other commenter assuming you’re in Australia or somewhere in that area (or Japan, for example). But, I assume from intention that it was the 31st yesterday where you reside.
