I once got a comment on lemmy world removed for “disinformation” because I said the Azov Battalion’s logo was based on a nazi symbol. Like they don’t give a shit about the truth they just want it as an excuse to push whatever hegemonic bullshit the american empire is on at the time.

Global North governments are trying to make themselves the arbiters of what is true, and then suppress what they decree to be untrue.
