Does anyone know some good video editing programs which don’t collapse under their own weight while trying to load a video? I just wanna make some short memes and shitposts!

+1 for kdenlive. you could also try OpenShot Video Editor or ShotCut, but I prefer kdenlive
I’ve used openshot quite a bit.
Yes, OpenShot is my goto also for simple edits. Holds up fine.
