I watch TV while eating, because TV takes my mind off the textures of the food and helps me dissociate from eating. I also have a very active imagination and ability to immerse myself in a show
Enterprise seems to have characters beaten bloody, covered in soot, drenched in sweat or slime, or poisoned by trellium-D every other episode. It’s very hard to watch Enterprise compared to the rest of Star Trek
From the title I completely expected this to be about how often they have T’Pol half (or fully) naked.
Years ago, I decided to watch Enterprise from beginning to “end”. I eventually enjoyed it, but damn the amount of “fan service” nearly made me quit due to the pure cringe factor. Also, if your name wasn’t Archer you weren’t interesting.
Heh. While I get it that some people are more squeamish, I never had a problem with showing stuff like that in ST. I found the extreme sanitisation of older Treks (and other shows/media of those eras) in this regard pretty annoying.
In fact, I still want that Tarantino Trek movie.
The sanitation is part of the charm, IMO.
I can see fhat, but I personally find it weird, at least when going back after ENT.
I just don’t quite get why society at some point decided that simulated violence is ok but blood isn’t. It just goes hand in hand…
Yeah, but quite often you get to see them wash it all off.
Yeah when I saw the title I assumed it was going to be about the sheer crassness of the quarantine room scenes.
I mean that sure doesn’t help me finish my dinner either
Feel that way sometimes, although I usually don’t care if it is a good story.
Then don’t watch it?
