It’s still so weird that they got the one completely charisma-free actor on the show to play Jim Kirk, and yet Sam Kirk lights up every scene he’s in
I have no beef with Paul Wesley - young Kirk was described as “a stack of books with legs” back in TOS, and I think that comes through in the performance.
But Sam Kirk is an absolute delight.
This is a very good point. We’re supposed to be seeing how he becomes the Kirk we know.
