I love the first few episodes, I prefer babyface riker, and I think Dick Picard was a cool badass who I fully support.
But they should have kept Crusher, and the political conflicts were a ridiculous joke epitomized by the cartoonish ferengi. S3 gave us much better aesthetics and politics (though the new character driven storytelling might be a matter of taste).
I love the first two seasons for their episodic adventure structure. But I also greatly appreciate the character driven structure of seasons 3+ and I definitely think the aesthetic changes for s3 were an unadulterated improvement.
These are legit arguments. It’s my argument for sometimes using Mint on older machines. I guess I’ve been brainwashed into thinking Ubuntu is bloated. It’s been like seven years since I used it.
That does sound like a fun rabbit hole to explore.

Wait… so FreeBSD is NOT Linux, and yet I can use the suite of Linux apps that I’m accustomed to? I can use Gnome or KDE PLasma or i3? And LibreOffice, etc? This is extra intriguing.
I blocked the whole instance. I’ll admit that I do want to see nude females (who are obviously adults) but I was seeing lots of other stuff that I don’t find sexy, and blocking specific communities was like playing whack-a-mole.
