I somewhat recently rewatched Voyager, and came away more impressed with Jeri Ryan’s acting chops - even in the face of Braga’s misogynistic catsuit fetish. And honestly, as much as I am… disappointed by all but the last Picard season, her character arc from Voyager through all of that is actually super cool.

I think there’s a valid defense to lying there, because there’s implied coercion and threat (“we are contacting you because you were arrested at …”), which means you’re under duress despite having done nothing wrong and being released. And you’re not under oath. So… idk.
