I’ve played a devious, scheming, money-hungry rogue. I’ve played an aloof know-it-all wizard. I’ve played a hippie-dippy can’t-we-all-just-get-along bard. I’ve played a killjoy by-the-book paladin. I’ve played a 60 IQ barbarian. I’ve played a problematically-curious artificer. I’ve played a brooding warlock.

To me, the whole point is to play different characters differently. I tend to swing pretty far from one campaign to the next.

I want more lower Decks, but like… After a few years have passed. The main cast are still on the same ship (even if not the cerritos, but seeing them at slightly higher ranks with Ransom in command would be interesting)

Last cool thing I noticed was Meta-Tech. Basically, it’s a framework that lets you convert abilities into technology with a monetary cost based on the underlying ability’s point cost.

It’s a fun enough sci-fi show in it’s own right, I like the whole Brother Dawn/Day/Dusk thing. But it is not really a faithful adaptation at all, and is super frustrating to watch when they just change key story elements.

Oh man, my Topology teacher was way into knot theory, I think that was his research topic. So much so that he would go on long tirades about it in his classes. Great for those of us in his Topology classes, not so much for his Linear Algebra classes.
