I agree with you. I chose Lemmy.World because it was listed as a general instance and the others were very specific and I was still trying to navigate what the Fediverse even was. If Lemmy.World hadn’t been an option I would probably have stuck to Squabbles or Kbin.

I do not understand his logic. It could be due to coding issues but his vague statement plus all the antics since he took over is just very suspect. Feels like he is working on another money grab idea.

I don’t believe so but I do think they will see continual decline after this. I’m envisioning more of a repeat of MySpace where everyone just loses interest.

You are correct and Lemmy.World and others will experience growing pains and will have their own share of issues but the positive of this is that more users means more content.

I wonder if doing a colon cleanse beforehand help? Similar to what people do before a colonoscopy.
