2·3 months agoI understand that cars serve a purpose. But trains and buses move orders of magnitude more people than cars could ever dream. With a properly functioning transit system (including the aforementioned high speed rails) traffic would clear up (because traffic didn’t happen to you, you are traffic), and fewer distracted operators would be on the road.
And in removing those people from operating vehicles, the distraction of a billboard, and the subsequent potential accidents, are mitigated.
And yes we also need to get rid of billboards.

3·3 months agoYet another reason we need to move away from cars. Since the distraction is likely not going away, we need to minimize the safety/distraction issue.
(Goddamn we need so much high speed rail, and yesterday)

10·4 months agoDamn. Right in the feels at the end.
Statistically, she’s probably not doing great, especially with religious parents.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
Exactly. I keep trying to get people to understand that it’s a process, just like running is a process.

Last shows me how bleak the future will be.
I’m terrible at understanding a lot of DND these days, but greeting cards were originally sent out by a divination wizard. Either to friend or foe, attempting to alter those people’s futures.
The naughty or nice list grew and the Santa creature somehow evolved, I’ll let someone else expand.
And that reminds me of this Lacy Chabert movie.
I get that, the initial investment would be pretty significant.
I’m not against it of course, I just think it’s necessary to understand the risks of any gamble.
A lot of us would need financial sponsorship. So there’d be a literal financial drain on those economies.
I still would like to sign up.
