Locally things are different but we can never trust Greedy Old Pedophiles and the selfish fuxks who either gave them a pass or full on support them.

Our nation is cooked. Time to burn it all down and rebuild.

Books, e-books, library of things, games, reading clubs, meeting spaces, computer access, community; libraries are an amazing resource and pillar of healthy communities.

RS is fantastic! I haven’t read Beyond Aquila Rift so unsure if it’s a good starting point. One of my favorite sf books and my favorite in the RS universe is Chasm City. It’s absolutely wonderful and a great launch pad into the RS universe, highly recommend starting there.

Now reading There is No Antimemetics Division by QNTM and Machine Vendetta by Alastair Reynolds, book 3 in The Prefect series set in the Revelation Space universe. It’s pretty good. AR is awesome, RS one of my favorite universes.

Already read The Faith of Beasts and Children of Strife.

Waiting on Parade of Horribles, Green City Wars (AT) and Platform Decay to come in from the library. Planning Kraken and The Scar (China Mieville) soon.

I honestly get through the first 1/4 of A Desolation Called Peace , the main character was such a turn off for me, just could not relate. I noped it, dnf.

Station Eleven is wonderful, the show is definitely worth watching as well, it veers a bit but captures it really well.

On of my other favorite series I read last year is Margaret Atwood’s Maddaddam trilogy, I was blown away by it. Based on what you’ve shared I think you’d like it.

I enjoyed The Murderbot Diaries more than I anticipated, haven’t read Platform Decay yet but will soon.

Have you seen the show? I was a bit ;let down by it but still hopeful for what they could do.

It was a 14 year account when I got banned, so yeah pretty much same sad boat. I do miss certain specialized specific subreddits.

The entire stock market is a Ponzi scheme and needs to be reformed. This corruption needs to be stopped and those orchestrating punished while those profiting from it needs to be stripped of their ill-gotten gains.

They already ban anybody they wish without recourse or actionable means to challenge them.
